Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in Baltimore, Maryland and I love to travel!

If you would like me to film your event outside MD/DC, it may require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. Client is to cover flight & hotel for destination locations.

Can I substitute or remove items from the Packages to meet my budget?

For the most part, yes!

Most items. excluding the trailer, highlight can be edited or removed to meet budget requirements.

For instance, if you wanted to add a 2nd shooter but keep the same price for the Essentials package, we could remove the (3) Interviews (valued at 100/per) or the variation (valued at 300)

What if I can't pose myself?

That's why you are hiring a professional! We are here to guide you through posing so it looks effortless. We will also help you with your outifts.

How long with my highlight video be?

Generally, it depends on the length of coverage needed for the event & the amount of content there is to capture.

We do offer multiple coverage options which allow for enough content to be captured to produce a highlight ranging 2 to 5+ minutes.

We typically do not offer extended documentary cut films (ie. 15+ minutes), but certain exemptions may be made.

Do you have commercial business liability insurance?

Yes. It is a $2M business & professional liability policy provided by Full Frame Insurance.

What's the best way to contact you?

I am an introvert so I'm a texter by default. The fastest & easiest way to contact me is filling out my Contact form.

What is your booking process?

1. Inquiry: Fill out the Contact Form
2. Consultation: We'll call, FaceTime, or Zoom to discuss your needs & to see if we're a good fit. Expect roughly 15 minutes.
3. Booking: To book & reserve your dates, a 25% retainer of the total package price is required with the remaining balance to be broken up into equal monthly payments payable up to two weeks before your event date.
4. Planning & Questionnaire: Once booked, we dive into the planning process! A questionnaire may need to be filled out.
4. Shooting & Delivery: On the day of the event, we capture beautiful imagery. Your videos and/or images will be delivered a few weeks afterwards via online gallery link.

Do you include a 2nd professional videographer?

I have been a solo shooter for years sp most packages do not include a 2nd professional videographer or "2nd shooter" unless noted.

However, depending the size & scope of your project, a 2nd shooter may be required and added on for an industry standard rate of 100/hr+.

In some cases, packages & deliverables may be customized to allow for one.

When will we get our videos?

The average shoot-to-edit ratio is at least 1:4. That means every 1 hr of shooting equals at least 4+ hrs of editing; an 8-hr day = 32-40+ hrs of editing. Estimated editing hours & cost are included in all Packages.

Standard delivery timeframe is up to 4 weeks for the trailer & up to 12 weeks for the highlight. Rush services (ie. 24- 48- 72- hour trailer & 1 month expedited highlight) are available for an additional charge.

You'll be able to download the videos and photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites and even order prints.

What is included with photography coverage?

In addition to capturing video, we can also capture photos that can be used for additional branding content & other future uses. Final image counts will vary but all images will be edited by me.

A separate photographer may be required depending on the size/scope of the project.

Only the Premiere package includes 1 photographer in addition to 1 videographer.

What kind of gear do you shoot on?

I primarily shoot on a Netflix-capable Sony FX3 Cinema Line camera with an FX30 Cinema Line as a B-Cam. I also use a Sony A7 III camera for a C-Cam. Lenses include Sony & Tamron ranging from super wide 11mm to a 180mm telephoto.

Stabilization: Ronin RS3 Pro w/ RavenEye gimbal and Avella carbon fiber monopod w/ K5 Komodo video head.

Lighting: Godox LA200BI for key & ML60BI for fill light plus two CAME-TV Q-Series 55W spotlights.

Audio: DJI Mic w/ Rode lavaliers, Comica VM30 wireless shotgun, Tascam DR-10L's wired lavaliers and a Tascam DR-40X field recorder.
